Job Overview

PPC is seeking Junior Sales Consultants (X2) to support sales growth and increase brand visibility within assigned territories in Gauteng and Limpopo.

The role involves promoting cement products, building strong relationships with retailers and contractors, and identifying new sales opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow in sales, marketing, and the construction materials industry.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Credit Management 2
  • Concrete Level 3 or higher

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, retail, or construction/building materials (advantageous)
  • Experience in promotions, merchandising, or customer engagement is beneficial

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (Code B)
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Support the sales team in achieving territory targets
  • Identify new sales opportunities within hardware stores and contractors
  • Follow up on sales leads and customer queries
  • Convert prospects into customers and retain existing clients

Brand Promotion & Visibility

  • Promote PPC products and act as a brand ambassador
  • Ensure strong in-store visibility through displays and promotions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers
  • Support marketing campaigns and brand activations

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with retailers, builders, and contractors
  • Provide product knowledge and customer support
  • Resolve or escalate customer queries where necessary

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and customer preferences
  • Provide feedback on market trends and insights

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales leads
  • Manage CRM systems and account records
  • Achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues proactively

Travel Requirements

  • Travel within assigned regions
  • May be required to stay overnight when necessary
