Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 / N3 with:
    • Mathematics
    • Physical Science
    • English
  • NQF Level 4

Experience

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a plant or production environment

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities within the production process
  • Monitor control panels and perform troubleshooting
  • Ensure optimal equipment utilization

Safety & Compliance

  • Participate in risk assessments and safety initiatives
  • Maintain housekeeping and proper waste disposal
  • Contribute to toolbox talks and safety improvements

Teamwork & Communication

  • Participate in shift handovers
  • Provide feedback to supervisors and cross-functional teams
  • Support and coach learners on the job

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct IMS inspections to improve plant sustainability
  • Identify personal training needs and contribute to development plans
  • Deliver presentations on plant equipment

Emergency Response

  • Play a key role during emergency situations to restore plant operations
