Job Overview
Heineken Beverages is seeking a reliable and hardworking Operator 1: Cellar to join its Cellars team in Gqeberha. The role involves supporting daily cellar operations, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with production-related tasks to ensure efficiency and high productivity.
This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in a cellar or production environment who are comfortable working under pressure and performing physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Cellar Operations Support
- Assist with general work duties in the cellar
- Clean floors, wash tanks, and maintain hygiene standards
- Perform tasks assigned by the Team Leader
Production & Performance
- Ensure high productivity and efficiency in daily operations
- Participate in departmental KPIs and performance targets
- Take part in monthly stock-taking activities
Team & Compliance
- Attend departmental DCS meetings
- Follow safe working procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1–3 years’ experience in a cellar or similar production environment
- Knowledge of safe working procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and handle physically demanding tasks
- Good numerical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime
