Job Overview
The Retirement Fund Committee Secretary will provide technical and administrative secretariat support to the SARB Retirement Fund Board and its subcommittees.
The role focuses on governance, compliance, coordination of meetings, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the effective functioning of the Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretariat support to the Board and subcommittees
- Prepare agendas, meeting packs, minutes, and distribute documentation
- Coordinate meetings, confirm quorum, and manage attendance registers
- Track action items and follow up on resolutions
- Maintain document filing, archiving, and retrieval systems
- Develop annual calendars and work plans
- Coordinate Board Charter and Terms of Reference reviews
- Support production of the Annual Report
- Ensure compliance with the Pension Funds Act (Act 24 of 1956)
Requirements
Qualifications
- National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in:
- Legal Studies
- Business Administration
- Or related field
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in a secretariat environment
- Pension fund administration experience (advantageous)
