Future Cleantech Architects (FCA), a non-profit climate innovation think tank based in Remscheid, Germany, is seeking an Impact and Development Officer (IDO) to join their team.

Job Title: Impact and Development Officer (m|f|d)
Job Location: Remote – Amsterdam
Closing Date: 31 March 2026
Contract: Temporary, Full or Part-time

The role involves supporting FCA’s impact measurement, fundraising activities, and external engagement efforts to drive the organization’s mission of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

This position offers flexibility with a hybrid working arrangement and is suitable for part-time employment. The initial contract is for two years, with the possibility of extension, and the start date is ASAP.

Responsibilities

  • Support systematic collection and management of FCA’s impact data for robust tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain and update impact records regularly.
  • Assist in program management within the Technologies and Impact team, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and coordinating with other departments.

  • Support the Technology and Impact Director with meetings, events, and impact-related activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of funding and donation strategies aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, and funding partners.
  • Identify and engage new potential donors and funding opportunities through research and outreach.

  • Monitor, manage, and optimize existing donation streams and fundraising platforms.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate donor-facing materials, including impact updates, fundraising content, and tailored communications.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to plan and produce FCA’s annual report and other major publications.

  • Support FCA at donor meetings, briefings, and external events.
  • Organize responses to donors’ inquiries, ensuring a high-quality donor experience.

Required Qualifications & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, public relations, marketing, public administration, business administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience in program management, donor relations, fundraising, or development, ideally within a nonprofit, sustainability, or cleantech context.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing high-quality external materials.
  • Strong relationship management skills and confidence engaging with external stakeholders and donors.

  • Experience engaging with or contributing to the Effective Altruism community is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written; proficiency in German and/or Dutch is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work within the EU.

Remuneration & Working Conditions

  • FCA offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, including applicable allowances such as post adjustment.
  • The position allows for a hybrid working arrangement and is suitable for part-time employment.
