Role Overview

The Content and Campaign Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering impactful advocacy campaigns. This position blends creative content development with campaign coordination, ensuring messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned across digital platforms.

Job Title: Content and Campaign Coordinator
Location: Flexible (UK-based, with regular in-person meetings in London or nearby)
Closing Date: 20 April 2026
Contract: Full-time, 6-month contract (with potential for renewal)

Working closely with Account Managers, the Delivery Director, and the Social & Digital Visual Creative, you will transform strategic ideas into engaging content that drives awareness and action for environmental NGOs and global coalitions.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop, write, and refine engaging content for social and digital platforms
  • Produce and edit copy for a variety of formats, including:
    • Social media posts
    • Websites and newsletters
    • Press releases and opinion editorials
  • Support rapid-response communications during major global events (e.g. climate COP, UN Ocean Conference, UN General Assembly)
  • Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and platform innovations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align content with campaign strategy and visual assets
  • Support content scheduling and publishing across digital platforms
  • Use performance insights and data to continuously improve content effectiveness

Campaign Coordination

  • Support Account Managers in delivering campaign and organisational objectives
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks, including:
    • Budget tracking and invoice processing
    • Meeting coordination and minute-taking
    • Deliverables tracking
  • Help coordinate campaign events (remote or in-person) and produce supporting materials
  • Support website updates and email campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Contribute to amplifying key policy decisions and announcements

General Content Delivery Duties

  • Participate in team check-ins and maintain clear documentation of campaign plans
  • Explore ethical use of AI tools to enhance content creation and workflows
  • Represent Communications INC at events, supporting live digital activations
  • Capture content and respond to real-time campaign needs
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks to support campaign delivery and client success
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work

Person Specification

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in social and digital communications (NGO, agency, or advocacy environment preferred)
  • Excellent written communication skills with platform-specific adaptability
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex subject matter
  • Understanding of SEO and digital content best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently in a remote setup
  • Demonstrated interest in environmental issues and advocacy
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Based in or near London, with availability for regular in-person meetings

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of ocean and climate policy processes (e.g. UN Climate COP, CBD, BBNJ)
  • Experience working with NGOs
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sprout, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, GA4
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. Monday.com)
  • Additional language skills
  • Experience with paid social campaigns and performance reporting
