Role Overview
CIFOR-ICRAF is seeking a Consultant – GLF Fundraising Coordinator to strengthen and professionalize fundraising, partnership development and donor engagement.
Job Title: Consultant – GLF Fundraising Coordinator
Organization: CIFOR-ICRAF (Center for International Forestry Research & World Agroforestry)
Job Location: Remote (Europe/Africa time zones preferred)
Contract Type: Consultancy (1 Year)

This role will support the expansion and diversification of funding sources—particularly across foundations, philanthropy and the private sector—while building strong donor relationships and a robust funding pipeline.
The consultant will work closely with the GLF Director and Senior Strategic Adviser, combining structured fundraising strategies with proactive outreach and the use of digital and AI-enabled tools.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Area Fundraising
- Support fundraising across GLF’s seven Strategic Growth Areas (regional scaleups, GLFx, youth, finance, AI, science linkages)
- Translate priorities into concept notes, pitch decks and funding briefs
- Align funding strategies with program delivery
Fundraising Strategy Support
- Contribute to refining and implementing GLF’s fundraising strategy and value proposition
Donor and Partner Engagement
- Identify, prioritize and engage donors and partners
- Maintain strong donor relationships and conduct due diligence
- Prepare briefings, reports and outreach materials
Proposal Development, Content & Reporting
- Lead or support development of proposals, concept notes, budgets and donor reports
- Ensure high-quality submissions aligned with internal standards
- Collaborate with program leads on co-creation of materials
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Build and manage a structured pipeline of funding opportunities
- Track engagement and maintain CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Events, Campaigns & Sponsorship
- Support fundraising for global conferences, campaigns and initiatives (e.g. Rio Changemakers, GLF events)
- Develop sponsorship packages and outreach strategies
AI & Digital Fundraising Tools
- Apply AI tools for donor research, proposal drafting and pipeline tracking
- Identify opportunities to enhance fundraising workflows
Internal Coordination & Capacity Building
- Collaborate with internal teams to align priorities
- Facilitate workshops and improve fundraising processes
External Representation
- Prepare presentations and represent GLF in meetings with prospective donors

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in fundraising or resource mobilization
- Experience working with NGOs or international organizations
- Strong writing, communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with foundations, philanthropy or private sector partners
- Background in climate, sustainable landscapes or sustainable finance
- Familiarity with AI tools for fundraising or operations
