Role Overview
The Organisational Learning Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Plan International’s global learning and capability development function.
- Job Title: Organisational Learning Coordinator (Learning & Capability Coordinator)
- Organisation: Plan International
- Location: Flexible, UK (mostly remote with annual office visits in Woking)
- Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
- Salary: Circa £26,000 per annum
- Closing Date: 16 April 2026 (UK midnight)
- Start Type: Immediate / as per recruitment process
- Work Arrangement: Remote-first (UK-based, right to work required)
This role focuses on delivering high-quality learning services, managing digital learning platforms, and ensuring staff across global offices can access effective training and development opportunities.
It is an ideal position for someone who enjoys coordination, digital systems, problem-solving, and working in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Learning, Induction & Coordination Support
- Coordinate global learning sessions, workshops, and training programmes
- Support delivery of onboarding and induction programmes across the organisation
- Prepare materials, presentations, reports, agendas, and communications
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communications
- Act as a first point of contact for internal teams and external suppliers
- Maintain organised and GDPR-compliant documentation systems
- Support procurement, invoicing, and supplier administration when needed
Learning Management System (LMS) & Digital Platforms
- Manage daily operations of the LMS (Plan Academy)
- Upload and maintain learning content, courses, and enrolments
- Ensure accuracy of user data and system records
- Handle and resolve user queries through the Plan Academy support inbox
- Troubleshoot technical issues with internal and external teams
- Support testing of system updates and new features
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Maintain additional digital learning platforms such as SharePoint and One Planet pages
Project & Team Support
- Contribute to wider Learning & Capability team initiatives
- Collaborate with global teams across regional hubs and country offices
- Support safeguarding and child protection integration into learning processes
- Assist in improving learning systems and user experience globally
Required Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Experience in coordination, administration, or learning support roles
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Confidence working with digital tools, systems, and data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with SharePoint and Office 365 tools
- Ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or HRIS platforms
- Experience providing technical or user support
- Understanding of learning and development approaches (e.g., 70/20/10 model)
- Ability to analyse system issues and propose improvements
- Familiarity with digital learning environments and content management
