About the Executive Board Secretariat (EBS)

The intern will support the Executive Board Programme Analyst and contribute to the planning, documentation, and communication of Executive Board activities.
This is a full-time, on-site internship in New York City, requiring active participation in fast-paced UN operations.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Documentation Support
- Conduct research to support briefing notes and talking points
- Assist in drafting official documents and correspondence
- Support preparation of materials for Executive Board meetings
Communications & Digital Support
- Maintain and update the Executive Board website
- Manage email inboxes and distribution lists
- Support communication on official channels, including social media (X account)
- Assist in preparing communications materials for stakeholders
Coordination & Monitoring
- Help maintain the tracking matrix for Executive Board decisions
- Update progress on implementation of Board resolutions
- Coordinate with UN Women divisions to ensure accurate reporting
Administrative & Logistical Support
- Support planning and logistics for Executive Board meetings and events
- Assist in organizing documentation and workflow processes
- Provide general administrative support to the Secretariat team

Eligibility Requirements
Education
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Enrolled in a graduate programme, OR
- In the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, OR
- Graduated within the past two years, OR
- Enrolled in a postgraduate traineeship linked to academic study
Preferred fields include:

- International Relations
- Social Sciences
- Philosophy
- Other related disciplines
