Role Overview
The Industry Growth and Engagement Lead is a senior, strategic role responsible for expanding TMC’s global community and strengthening relationships across the textile and apparel industry.

- Location: Remote (UK-based, GMT/BST time zone)
- Contract Type: Full-Time (Part-time considered)
- Salary: Up to £75,000 (depending on experience)

You will lead growth efforts, build partnerships, and act as a key ambassador for TMC—helping organizations understand and act on fibre fragmentation challenges.
This role combines strategy, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and industry influence, making it ideal for someone passionate about sustainability and systems-level change.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Community Expansion
- Develop and execute strategies to grow TMC’s global signatory community
- Engage brands, manufacturers, and partners across new markets
- Represent TMC at UK and international events and conferences
- Identify new opportunities for partnerships and impact
- Support fundraising and funding partnerships
Signatory Engagement & Retention
- Build strong, trusted relationships with existing partners
- Drive active participation in working groups, webinars, and collaborations
- Ensure continued engagement with TMC’s roadmap and sustainability goals
Industry Influence & Partnerships
- Deliver presentations and webinars to drive awareness and action
- Build relationships with industry bodies and multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and stakeholder needs
- Collaborate internally to align communications and strategy
Candidate Profile
TMC is seeking a credible, relationship-driven leader with strong industry knowledge and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
This role requires someone who can both develop strategy and execute it independently within a remote, high-performing team.
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level education in a relevant field
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, or sustainability-led growth
- Experience within textile, apparel, or related sectors
- Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with brands, retailers, or mission-driven organisations
- Understanding of funding models (grants, partnerships, memberships)
- High level of autonomy and accountability in remote work environments
- Ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel
- Ability to work within UK time zone
Desirable Experience
- Experience in non-profits, charities, or membership organisations
- Background in sustainability within apparel or retail
- Fundraising or income generation experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Pipedrive)
