Team Purpose
The Cybersecurity and Information Assurance team is responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organisational information assets, including systems and data. The team identifies, assesses, and manages cybersecurity risks, while also responding to incidents and data breaches.
Role Overview
The Senior Lead, Information Security Technology and Architecture will report to the Director of Information Security, Data Protection and Global IT Operations.

This role is responsible for designing and evolving the organisation’s security architecture to meet growing cybersecurity and compliance demands. You will work across technical and business teams to ensure security is embedded by design, adapting to organisational changes, emerging threats, and technological advancements such as Artificial Intelligence.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise alongside strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture Leadership
- Lead the organisation’s security architecture domain and provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders
- Ensure continuous evolution and alignment of security architecture with organisational goals
Solution Design & Implementation
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and future-ready technology solutions
- Guide the secure adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and automation
Architecture Review & Governance
- Assess existing architecture to identify gaps, risks, and technical debt
- Participate in governance forums including the Enterprise Architecture Board
- Ensure security principles are embedded across all projects and initiatives
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate security risks based on evolving threats and vulnerabilities
- Support compliance with global information security standards and frameworks
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and design artefacts
- Share insights on industry trends, threats, and best practices with stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements
- Provide expert consultation on security-related decisions and strategies
Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience designing end-to-end security architecture solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills
- Expertise in security architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27000, NIST CSF, COBIT
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
- Experience with threat modelling and attack surface analysis
- Knowledge of secure coding standards (OWASP, SANS, MITRE, etc.)
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in security governance and lifecycle management
- Understanding of AI security risks and governance
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure AD, Entra ID, Azure SQL, Service Fabric)
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps
- Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD practices
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and TDD
- Understanding of distributed systems, APIs (REST/SOAP), messaging systems, and databases
- Experience with configuration and change management
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Desirable
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
