Role Overview

The Nature-based Solutions Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the organization’s Nature-based Solutions programme. Working closely with the Head of Nature-based Solutions, you will help develop projects, partnerships, and investment opportunities across the National Landscapes network.

Job Title: Nature-based Solutions Officer
Location: Home-based (UK)
Salary: £44,060 per annum (pro rata) + 10% non-contributory pension
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time or Part-time)
Closing Date: 1 May 2026

This is a dynamic and impactful role where you will translate strategic environmental goals into practical, real-world delivery—supporting initiatives that address climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable land use.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Programme Delivery

  • Support the development and delivery of nature-based solutions projects
  • Coordinate programme activities and timelines
  • Contribute to funding applications, project proposals, and delivery plans
  • Assist with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting

Pipeline Development & Technical Support

  • Identify and develop investable nature-based projects
  • Provide technical and practical support to National Landscapes teams
  • Develop tools and resources to support project design and delivery
  • Stay informed on emerging environmental policy and market trends

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Support workshops, events, and collaborative forums
  • Assist in developing partnership materials and communications

Data, Evidence & Reporting

  • Support data collection and analysis across projects
  • Track project progress and maintain pipeline oversight
  • Identify risks, challenges, and new opportunities
  • Contribute to reporting outputs and insights

Team Collaboration

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture
  • Work closely with colleagues across programmes and functions
