Role Overview
The Communications Officer will support the delivery of impactful communications and marketing initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s brand, engage stakeholders, and promote its mission.

Job Location: Remote (UK-based – Right to Work required)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 (depending on experience)

This is a newly created role focused on content creation, campaign execution, and communications operations, working closely with the Brand and Communications Manager and wider team.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Channel Management
- Manage and maintain the content calendar across all platforms
- Create and publish content across LinkedIn, website, blogs, and newsletters
- Design marketing assets (social graphics, brochures, video edits) using tools like Canva
- Repurpose content to maximise reach and engagement
- Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines
- Update and manage website content (CMS such as WordPress)
- Monitor media coverage and maintain brand consistency
Campaign & Project Support
- Execute communications campaigns for projects, events, and product launches
- Track campaign performance and provide insights for improvement
- Support publication launches such as Annual and Impact Reports
Event Communications
- Assist with communications for events (virtual and in-person)
- Prepare materials and coordinate follow-up content
- Support engagement activities for members and stakeholders
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and freelancers
- Support Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives
- Work across teams to deliver high-quality, aligned communications
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Experience in social media management and content creation
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
- Knowledge of analytics tools and campaign tracking
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience translating complex or technical topics into engaging content
Desirable Skills
- Interest or experience in environmental sustainability
- Basic video editing skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or CRM platforms
- Understanding of brand strategy and marketing principles
Working Environment
- Fully remote role (UK-based eligibility required)
