Position Overview
Anera is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise IT Transformation Consultant to lead a comprehensive upgrade of its IT systems and infrastructure.
Job Title: Enterprise IT Transformation Consultant
Location: United States or Jordan
Contract Type: Consultant
Salary Range: $55,022 – $58,210 (estimated)
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that goes beyond advisory. You will guide the organization through the full transformation lifecycle—from assessment and strategy to implementation and handover—within a 300-person, multi-country operating environment.
A key component of this role includes evaluating and potentially executing a transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for long-term use.
Key Responsibilities
IT Assessment & Risk Analysis
- Conduct a comprehensive review of IT systems, tools, and infrastructure
- Evaluate workflows, support structures, and operational dependencies
- Identify risks related to security, data integrity, access control, and business continuity
- Deliver a prioritized assessment covering immediate fixes, medium-term improvements, and major structural changes
Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Develop practical IT improvement options and platform recommendations
- Analyze trade-offs including cost, timelines, organizational impact, and technical complexity
- Support leadership in making informed, evidence-based decisions
Microsoft 365 Migration (Strategy & Execution)
- Assess feasibility of transitioning from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
- Design and implement a phased migration plan, including:
- Data and file preparation
- Email and calendar migration
- Identity and access management (Azure AD / Entra ID)
- Security and compliance configuration
- Ensure minimal disruption and maintain business continuity throughout
Pilot Environment Development
- Configure and deploy a Microsoft 365 pilot tenant
- Test workflows, permissions, and integrations
- Gather user feedback and refine rollout strategy
Systems Integration & Architecture
- Collaborate with finance, HR, and compliance teams to improve system integration
- Ensure systems are secure, interoperable, and aligned with overall IT architecture
- Identify integration gaps and recommend practical solutions
Implementation & Change Management
- Lead execution of approved IT improvements
- Establish governance frameworks (data ownership, permissions, accountability)
- Support user adoption through training and clear documentation
- Adapt solutions to diverse country contexts and infrastructure limitations
Handover & Sustainability
- Transition systems to internal teams or managed service providers
- Provide comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer
- Train administrators and support staff to ensure long-term sustainability

- Increased operational efficiency across systems
Governance & Reporting
- Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer
- Collaborates with leadership, IT teams, and functional departments
- Provides regular progress updates and risk escalations
- Advises on vendor selection and technical decisions
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience leading enterprise IT transformation initiatives
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 migrations and implementations
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Workspace and Microsoft ecosystem)
- Knowledge of identity and access management systems
- Experience in systems integration and data migration
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating finance, HR, or compliance systems
- Background in international or NGO environments
- Strong project management capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
