Role Overview
The Land Use and Food Systems Programme focuses on advancing sustainable and climate-resilient practices across Europe. The programme collaborates with stakeholders from civil society, academia, business, and government to drive ambitious climate policies and solutions.

As an Intern, you will support the team across research, analysis, administration, and event coordination—gaining hands-on experience in climate policy and sustainability initiatives at a European level.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Monitor news and developments related to land use and food systems
- Conduct research and produce analytical notes, including literature reviews and stakeholder mapping
- Support the team in exploring new areas of work and policy development
Programme Support
- Assist with preparation of presentations and internal documentation
- Contribute to project coordination and administrative tasks
- Support team meetings and programme activities
Events & Engagement
- Attend relevant events and provide reports and summaries
- Assist in organising workshops and stakeholder engagements
Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s programme in a relevant field (e.g., political science, economics, environmental studies, communications)
- Strong interest in climate policy, land use, and food systems
- Good understanding of EU policy-making processes
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesise complex information clearly
- Strong organisational and administrative skills (including PowerPoint and Excel)
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented mindset
