Position Overview
CARE is seeking a motivated and analytical Knowledge Management Intern to support its Knowledge Management and Learning team during Summer 2026.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students and early-career professionals interested in international development, research, data analysis, knowledge management, learning systems, and thought leadership.
The successful candidate will contribute to the collection, synthesis, analysis, and dissemination of knowledge and evidence generated across CARE’s global programs while helping strengthen organizational learning and external engagement efforts.
Internship Focus Areas
During Summer 2026, the intern will contribute to several strategic priorities, including:
Thought Leadership Support
- Assist with thought leadership initiatives related to:
- Localization
- Health Systems Strengthening
- Food Security
- Gender Equality
- International Development Policy
Data Analysis and Research
- Conduct statistical analysis using CARE and publicly available datasets.
- Support regression analysis, data modelling, and data quality verification.
- Analyze data from CARE’s partnership with Gallup World Poll.
- Utilize datasets from organizations such as:
- The World Bank
- United Nations agencies
- Other international development sources
External Engagement
- Support CARE’s engagement with influential practitioners, stakeholders, and development communities.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to strengthen CARE’s visibility and thought leadership presence.
- Contribute to communications and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Knowledge Management Systems
- Support the maintenance and improvement of CARE’s knowledge management platforms.
- Assist with content management and curation activities.
- Help ensure learning resources remain accessible and up to date across organizational systems.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Data Analytics
- Produce data-driven reports that generate new insights on:
- Health workforce issues
- Climate change
- Food security
- Gender equality
- Develop and maintain statistical models for flagship CARE reports.
- Analyze large datasets and identify emerging trends and findings.
- Verify data quality and ensure analytical rigor.
Knowledge Product Development
- Create project briefs based on evaluations and technical documentation.
- Develop summaries of evidence, research findings, and best practices.
- Conduct background research to support presentations, publications, and advocacy efforts.
- Contribute to the development of reports, websites, position papers, and communication materials.
Knowledge Management Support
- Maintain and update key knowledge management platforms.
- Support the management of CARE’s evaluation library and learning repositories.
- Organize and curate content to improve accessibility and knowledge sharing.
- Assist with documentation and learning processes across programs.
Additional Support
- Provide administrative and operational support as required.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative projects.
- Support special assignments and learning initiatives as directed.
