Role Overview

ClimateWorks Foundation is seeking a Program Manager to support its Global Energy Transition Initiative (GETI).

Reporting to the Head of the Project Management Unit (PMU), the successful candidate will lead project management, grant management, stakeholder coordination, work planning, reporting, and event management for the Solar Industry Association Initiative.

The role requires close collaboration with global teams across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and international funders while supporting the transition toward clean energy in emerging economies.

This is a fully remote position based in the United Kingdom, with frequent international travel and collaboration across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

As the Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead project management for the Solar Industry Association Initiative.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project work plans.
  • Coordinate grant processing, compliance, and grantee engagement.
  • Monitor project timelines and identify implementation risks.
  • Organize and manage global and regional meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Coordinate activities with regional teams across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
  • Track grantee performance against agreed work plans.
  • Prepare portfolio updates and reports for senior leadership and funders.
  • Support technical expert teams delivering organizational development initiatives.
  • Coordinate capacity-building activities and stakeholder engagements.
  • Facilitate communication between grantees and technical specialists.
  • Support institutional strengthening for solar industry associations.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Experience managing complex international projects.
  • Grant management and grant processing experience.
  • Excellent organizational and deadline management skills.
  • Experience coordinating events and stakeholder meetings.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience working with international funders.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones.
  • Commitment to ClimateWorks Foundation’s mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following will have an advantage:

  • Experience working with solar industry associations.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce grant management tools.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Experience supporting capacity-building initiatives.
  • Experience working within global matrix organizations.
