Role Overview
UNDP is seeking a Partnerships and Coordination Analyst to strengthen partnerships and support the coordination of flagship regional initiatives within the Africa Regional Programme.

The successful candidate will work closely with regional institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, the African Union (AU), Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and internal UNDP teams to advance strategic partnerships, coordinate programmes, support resource mobilization, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
This is a fully home-based international opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development and Management
- Expand UNDP’s engagement with civil society organizations and regional institutions.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with the African Union, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and development partners.
- Identify new partnership opportunities at global, regional, and country levels.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and partnership analysis.
- Prepare partnership agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and related documentation.
- Coordinate partnership due diligence processes.
- Maintain partnership tracking systems and engagement records.
Programme Coordination
- Support implementation of flagship regional initiatives.
- Coordinate planning meetings and technical consultations.
- Monitor implementation milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Prepare meeting summaries, coordination notes, and action matrices.
- Support programme design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Knowledge Management
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Develop knowledge products and internal briefing materials.
- Maintain knowledge repositories and shared information platforms.
- Promote learning and knowledge sharing across the Regional Programme.
Communications and Resource Mobilization
- Support communications and outreach activities.
- Coordinate regional events and conferences.
- Develop communication materials and visibility products.
- Assist with donor research and resource mobilization efforts.
- Prepare concept notes, briefing documents, and engagement materials.
Regional Platform Coordination
- Coordinate UNDP’s participation in major regional and international events, including:
- African Union (AU) Summit
- Africa Climate Summit
- TICAD Process
- Regional Partners Forum
- Prepare briefing notes, speaking points, and event coordination documents.
- Monitor follow-up actions and partnership commitments.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or a related discipline.
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Experience
Applicants should demonstrate experience in:
- Partnership development and management.
- Stakeholder coordination.
- International development programmes.
- Programme coordination.
- Partner mapping and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge management.
- Research and analytical support.
- Drafting reports, presentations, concept notes, and briefing papers.

Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- Working knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, or Russian is considered an asset.
