Role Overview
Amnesty International is seeking a Resource Allocation Mechanism (RAM) Project Intern to support the coordination of grant-making processes that provide financial and technical support to national entities.

Based within the Movement Building Programme, the intern will work closely with finance, fundraising, and national entities to help ensure that the Resource Allocation Mechanism operates efficiently, transparently, and in line with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Grant-Making Coordination
- Assist with coordinating the RAM grant-making process.
- Support efficient and transparent collaboration between Movement Building and Finance teams.
- Assist with evaluating funding requests from national entities.
- Support the RAM grant due diligence process.
Project & Committee Coordination
- Lead logistical planning for the Redistribution Committee’s work programme.
- Coordinate meetings, activities, and related project requirements.
- Take responsibility for specific projects and assignments as agreed with the line manager.
Communications
- Support the RAM communication strategy.
- Ensure national entities receive clear and timely information throughout the funding process.
- Draft and coordinate RAM decision letters.
- Support the preparation and communication of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
Financial Tracking & Reporting
- Track RAM allocations and contingency funding requests.
- Monitor reporting requirements.
- Help ensure payments are made on time.
- Support compliance with RAM processes and organizational requirements.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Awareness of the needs, opportunities, and challenges of a global membership organization.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience handling datasets for reporting and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis tools.
- Experience in project coordination, logistics, and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships within a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Education Requirements
A relevant academic background, either completed or currently in progress, in areas such as:
- Social Sciences
- International Development
- Public Policy
- Business
- Economics
- Finance
Language Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Knowledge of any of the following is an advantage:
- French
- Arabic
- Spanish
Internship Duration and Working Hours
This is a fixed-term 12-month internship.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
The position is based in London, UK.
