About the Consultancy
ClientEarth is seeking an experienced consultant to provide project management, coordination, and advisory support around four major international policy and advocacy moments taking place between September 2026 and January 2027.
The consultant will support the planning and delivery of high-profile global advocacy and policy engagement across multiple teams and regions.
This is an opportunity for an experienced professional with strong international policy, project management, coordination, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement experience to contribute to strategically important global environmental policy processes.
Key International Policy Moments
The consultancy will provide support around four major international events:
UN General Assembly
Supporting ClientEarth’s engagement around the United Nations General Assembly, one of the most significant international forums for global policy dialogue.
UN CBD COP17
Supporting planning and coordination around the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17).
UNFCCC COP31
Providing project management and advisory support around UNFCCC COP31, a major global climate policy moment.
BBNJ COP1
Supporting engagement around the first Conference of the Parties to the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement.
Scope of the Consultancy
The selected consultant will provide:
- Project management support for major international policy moments.
- Coordination across multiple teams and regions.
- Advisory support for global advocacy and policy engagement.
- Planning and delivery support for high-profile international events.
- Coordination of activities across relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Support to ensure teams are aligned around priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Strategic coordination across multiple international policy processes.
Ideal Consultant Profile
This opportunity is suited to an experienced consultant or professional with a strong background in:
- International policy and advocacy.

Europe-based consultants are preferred.
The consultancy is expected to require approximately four days of work per week from September 2026 through January 2027.
The consultant will support activities across multiple teams and regions and should therefore be comfortable working in an international and collaborative environment.
