Role Overview

The Chief Accountant will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting and tax responsibilities.

The successful candidate will oversee accounting operations for CI Games SE, ensure compliance with Polish tax legislation and support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.

This role requires someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Chief Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing full accounting operations and ensuring overall tax compliance for CI Games SE.
Preparing annual financial statements, including notes, cash flow statements and deferred tax information.
Managing annual and half-year audits.
Supporting the preparation of quarterly financial statements for stock exchange reporting.
Ensuring timely preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax declarations.
Managing CIT, VAT, VAT EU, IFT/WHT and JPK reporting.
Supervising the preparation and submission of GUS and NBP reports.
Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring changes to Polish government reporting requirements.
Ensuring compliance with evolving requirements such as KSeF and CIT-JPK.

Chief Accountant Requirements

To be considered for the position, candidates should have:

A university degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in a Chief Accountant role.
In-depth knowledge of Polish tax legislation.
Strong knowledge of VAT, VAT EU, WHT, CIT and MDR.
Advanced Excel skills, including functions, pivot tables and data analysis tools.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
A conscientious and responsible approach to work.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong self-discipline and time-management skills.
Good knowledge of English.

Salary and Compensation

CI Games has not published a single salary range for this position.

Because the company hires remote talent across multiple regions, compensation packages are country-specific. Candidates who progress to the interview stage will receive the applicable salary range for their location with their interview invitation.

The position also offers an annual discretionary bonus.
