Overview
SANBI is seeking motivated individuals to manage and oversee supply chain management activities related to tender processes. The roles necessitate keen attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 6) with 4 years’ experience in procurement OR
- Degree in Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 7) with 2 years’ experience in procurement OR
- Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent (NQF Level 8) is advantageous.
Required Competencies
- Experience in procurement systems
- Knowledge of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) practices
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations)
- Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, and Outlook)
- A valid driver’s license with at least one year of practical driving experience; willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the Request for Quotation/Tender process
- Support terms of reference and briefing/site inspection processes
- Assist in the evaluation of quotations/tenders
- Help generate purchase orders and process invoices
- Aid in governance, risk, and compliance management
