Position: Graduate Accountant
Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa
Type: Full-Time (Graduate Programme)
Role Purpose
As a Graduate Accountant, you will support the finance team in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will gain hands-on experience in financial management, budgeting, and auditing under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with tax compliance, including VAT submissions and calculations.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in financial management and analysis.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with systems like SAP, QuickBooks, or Pastel is a plus).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
