Purpose Statement

As a Credit Rehabilitation Agent, you’ll be integral to providing first-level support to Capitec clients and internal teams. Your role will focus on enhancing client experience, reducing risks, and adhering to the quality standards set by the Business Support Centre as well as Capitec’s policies, processes, and systems.

You’ll investigate and resolve issues while offering educational or sales information regarding various Capitec products and services through multiple communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-level support to clients and internal teams.
  • Investigate and resolve client issues efficiently.
  • Provide educational and sales information about Capitec products and services.
  • Collaborate across digital platforms and functional support areas.
  • Meet set performance targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Experience Requirements

Minimum:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in banking, insurance, retail, or a client service environment.

Ideal:

  • Experience in a contact center or related client care roles.
  • Familiarity with Capitec banking systems.
  • Previous client interaction and relationship management experience.
  • Engagement with third-party providers relevant to the role.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational.

Ideal/Preferred:

  • Additional qualifications in relevant fields.

Knowledge

Minimum:

  • Basic understanding of client service and contact center skills.
  • Familiarity with office and information systems.
  • Basic client service principles.

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of banking-related legislation, including FICA, National Credit Act (NCA), Consumer Protection Act (CPA), and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI).
  • Understanding of Capitec Bank policies and product offerings.

Skills

  • Strong administration and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
