Job Overview:
As a Finance Intern, you will support the finance team in the analysis, administration, and reporting of South Africa’s financial accounts. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks designed to provide insight into financial performance and ensure compliance with Stryker’s policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Stryker’s Compliance and Ethics program, including the Code of Conduct in all interactions.
- Provide regular feedback on the performance of cost centers and allocated business units and General Ledger accounts.
- Assist in performing month-end close processes, meeting reporting deadlines, and aiding Finance Management with related tasks.
- Prepare daily sales reports and weekly sales reports.
- Support weekly sales meetings with relevant data and insights.
- Analyze monthly cost center reporting to the business (BU P&L).
- Conduct ad hoc queries as requested by Management and the business.
- Assist in data migration and clean-up activities as required.
- Collaborate with the shared service center and business partners.
- Perform administrative activities related to Nedfleet and Aramex.
- Support Purchase Order creation processes.
- Coordinate finance communications per the guidance of the Finance Manager.
- Attend to various administrative matters associated with the Financial Reporting and Analysis function.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement: Matric; preferably a tertiary/university qualification in accounting or finance.
- Ideally, be a South African citizen.
