Introduction: The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning and Development Specialist to partner with our client departments to identify skills needs and design impactful learning interventions for staff members and teams. The primary objective of this role is to enhance personal, team, and business performance across the SARB. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the SARB learning and development strategy.
- Partner with client departments to identify, interpret, and address their skills needs.
- Develop learning plans and journeys tailored to client department requirements.
- Conduct research and design fit-for-purpose learning interventions.
- Utilize relevant digital learning technologies, systems, and platforms to enhance the learning experience.
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, experts, and other learning providers to deliver the best learning solutions.
- Evaluate the quality and impact of learning programmes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Compile integrated reports with recommendations for ongoing improvements to learning solutions.
- Establish and promote strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a learning facilitator/integrator during various learning interventions.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a culture of continual learning at SARB.
Qualifications:
- Honours degree in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Development, or equivalent (NQF 8 qualification).
- 8 to 10 years’ experience in learning and development consulting, instructional design, and/or facilitation within academic or corporate learning settings.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the banking or financial sector.
- Thorough understanding of corporate learning, quality assurance policies, and human capital development.
- Proficiency in designing and curating learning content to meet client needs.
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to integrate learning across diverse methodologies.
- Knowledge of emerging instructional technologies and a blended learning approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in stakeholder management.
