The Midvaal Municipality Executive Mayor’s office is pleased to announce the availability of financial assistance for students who require support in pursuing their tertiary education.

This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on eligible students and encourage academic excellence within our community.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be residents of Midvaal.
• Financial aid is available for students who have received a letter of acceptance from a recognized public institution for full-time study.
• The aid is intended solely for those pursuing tertiary qualifications.

How to Apply:

Interested students must gather the following documents to complete their application:

1. Completed Application Form: Available from the Executive Mayor’s office or online.
2. Recommendation Letter: A letter from your Ward Councillor endorsing your application.
3. Certified ID Copies: Copy of your ID as well as the ID copies of your parents or guardian.
4. Certified Academic Documents: Include a copy of your matric certificate or other relevant academic results.
5. Letter of Acceptance: This should be from the institution where you’ve been accepted, detailing the registration amount and including the institution’s bank details.
6. Proof of Residence: Documentation to confirm your residential address.
7. Income Verification: A document showing your parent(s) or guardian’s income or an affidavit if they are unemployed.

• Submission Period: Applications will be accepted from January 9, 2025, to January 24, 2025.
• Submission Location: All applications must be submitted in person at the Office of the Executive Mayor.
