Introduction:
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Administrator to provide administrative support to the Group Security Management Department (GSMD). In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of projects, ensuring compliance with project management standards and maintaining effective communication across various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with compiling and maintaining essential project documentation, ensuring compliance with Programme Management Office standards.
- Manage and collate project information and reports, ensuring stakeholders (internal and external) are well informed of project status.
- Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the project life cycle to maintain effective communication on project matters.
- Update and maintain the project schedule, highlighting any deviations and ensuring project timelines are adhered to.
- Maintain a project repository, ensuring all project information is accessible and available for audits.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, consolidate meeting materials, maintain and disseminate minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Record and maintain logs for lessons learned, risks, issues, and actions to support the project manager in managing project risks.
- Ensure project continuity in the absence of the project manager by containing and following up on project activities.
- Maintain a financial spreadsheet to track payments, liaise with vendors, and ensure timely invoice payments.
- Coordinate strategic projects and operational programmes to support the GSMD’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in Project Administration or Project Management.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a project administration environment.
- Solid knowledge of project management practices, with a focus on project administration.
