Overview
Motus Renault Bryanston is offering an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to embark on a career as an Automotive Motor Mechanic.
This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in the automotive industry while working under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and complete scheduled technical and level training courses.
- Assist qualified technicians with the repair of vehicles to gain practical experience.
- Prepare for and pass level tests in accordance with MerSETA requirements, aiming for qualification within a maximum of 4 years.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.
- Adhere to workplace safety and conduct rules.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:Â Minimum of Grade 12 with Pure Maths and Physical Science (50% minimum pass mark preferred).
- Driver’s License: A valid, unendorsed driver’s license is required.
- Criminal Record:Â Clear criminal record necessary.
- Technical Skills:Â Mechanical insight and technical aptitude are essential; previous skills or experience in automotive mechanics are advantageous.
Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and computers.
- Physically fit, capable of performing heavy work.
- Interest in hands-on tasks and the ability to work in noisy environments.
- Strong eyesight and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with attention to detail when recording job details.
- A team-oriented attitude with high energy levels.
