The South African Weather Service (SAWS) invites applications for a one-year Internship Programme aimed at high-achieving graduates in the following fields:

Available Positions:

1. Research Department (Centurion)

   • Positions: 3
   • Requirements: An appropriate Degree in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, Applied Statistics, Application Research, Energy Renewable and Meteorology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
   • Reference: REF# Research

2. Research Department (Centurion)

   • Position: 1
   • Requirements: An appropriate Degree in Social Sciences.
   • Reference: REF# Socio

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must submit a detailed CV with all necessary information (i.e., address and date of birth).
• Attach academic transcripts on the Recruitment Portal.
• Age requirement: 18 – 35 years.
• Must be unemployed and have no prior work experience.

Internship Details:

• Location: SAWS Head Office, Centurion.
• Responsibility: Interns are responsible for their own transport to the office.
• Stipend: Monthly stipend of R6,500.00.
• Duration: Twelve months, with no obligation for employment upon completion.
