What Will You Do?
Job Purpose
As an Intern IT (GPA), you will play a crucial role in developing enterprise-grade applications within an agile team. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire development lifecycle, enabling you to apply critical thinking, design thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges (Front End, Back End, and Integration).
Key Outcomes
- Technical Development:
- Utilize C# (.NET), SQL Server, JavaScript/Typescript, ReactJs, Jenkins, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and Git to solve technical problems with high-quality solutions.
- Produce well-organized and optimized source code, ensuring thorough documentation of technical solutions.
- Implement DevSecOps practices by creating and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins and AzureDevOps.
- Testing & Debugging:
- Leverage unit testing frameworks for integration and validation, utilizing tools like Moq and MsTest.
- Debug existing code and enhance feature sets through iterative improvements.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work alongside peers under the Lead Product Engineer to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Engage in peer reviews and contribute to development planning.
- Risk & Governance:
- Participate in incident management and disaster recovery activities, applying critical thinking and technical expertise to resolve major incidents.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant qualification in IT (preferably a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or equivalent).
- Must reside in Gauteng.
- No prior work experience or 6 months or less of internship/work experience.
- Must be 28 years old or younger.
