Job Overview
The Tenders and Pricing Intern will play a crucial role in managing all tender and pricing-related activities. The intern will coordinate the preparation and submission of Tender and RFQ documentation and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding contracts and pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Management:
- Source tender opportunities and maintain a database of all tender and RFQ activities.
- Respond to all RFQs, RFIs, and tender requests.
- Coordinate customer queries and manage timelines.
- Assist branches/regions with tender and RFQ guidance.
- Documentation Preparation:
- Identify tender specifications for relevant commercial teams.
- Gather necessary information from internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Manage the RFQ and Tender register/dashboard, ensuring timely delivery of completed documents.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Respond to validity extension requests for tenders.
- Extract key points from tenders and communicate relevant information to project managers and interested staff.
- Handle requests for SBD Forms and manage inquiries through IPS/Ariba and Tradeworld.
- Reimbursement Duties:
- Submit Medikredit application forms for product Nappi Codes.
- Submit Discovery Health Price & Product Files for approval of product Nappi Codes.
- Manage submissions for all franchise product ranges for Private Hospital Group approval (PHGs).
Qualification & Requirements
- Education: Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related medical field preferred.
- Experience:Â Relevant experience in tender management or healthcare-related fields is a plus.
- Skills:Â Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines.
- License: Valid Driver’s License.
- Eligibility:Â Preferably a South African citizen.
