Job Description

Seriti is seeking a skilled Water Treatment Contract Lead to oversee the management and execution of water treatment projects. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and quality expectations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of water treatment projects, developing project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Contract Management: Negotiate, develop, and manage contracts with water treatment service providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with South African water regulations and standards, preparing and submitting reports on water quality and treatment efficacy.
• Budget Management: Manage budgets related to water treatment services, conducting cost analysis and ensuring expenditures stay within budget.
• Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, while evaluating service provider performance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in contract management or a related field, preferably in water treatment or the mining industry.
• Skills:
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and contracts.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of water treatment processes, environmental regulations, and health and safety practices.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Certificate of Fitness.
