Administrator

Department: Gas Licensing, Compliance and Dispute Resolution Package: R275 564.00 – R372 254.00 per annum (CTC) Reference: HR 06/24

Requirements: * An Administrative or Secretarial Diploma as recognized by SAQA * Minimum of Three (3) years relevant experience.

The candidate must be competent in the following: * Communication Skills (written and verbal) * Analytical Skills * Maintenance of confidentiality * Computer literacy * Time Management Skills * Minute-taking Skills * Capable of maintaining good team relations.

Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Department: Gas Licensing, Compliance and Dispute Resolution, the incumbent will be to provide administrative support to the HOD: GLC and the GLC Department Staff.

Compliance Monitoring Technician

Department: Electricity Licensing, Compliance and Dispute Resolution Package: R577 617.00 – R733 562.00 per annum (CTC)

Reference: HR 05/24

Requirements: * A National Diploma or Diploma (NQF 6) in Electrical Engineering as recognised by SAQA. * A Bachelor’s Degree or B Tech Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) will be an added advantage * Minimum Three (3) years relevant working experience within the Electricity Supply Industry in distribution, transmission, generation, metropolitan or municipal distributions * Knowledge and experience of power systems.

Requirements: * A Bachelor’s Degree or B Tech Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Economic or Finance as recognised by SAQA * A post-graduate qualification in Economics or Finance will be an advantage. Formal and certified training in project management will be an advantage * Minimum of Five (5) years relevant working experience in similar environments * Knowledge of the ESI industry will be an added advantage.

Requirements: * A Master’s Degree (NQF 9) in Engineering, Economics, Law or an equivalent field as recognised by SAQA * Suitable experience in a regulatory environment and experience in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) will be an advantage * Minimum of Ten (10) years related managerial experience of which Five (5) years should be at an Executive level * Proven track record of managing staff, performance and budgets.

Purpose: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Full Time Regulator Member primarily responsible for Electricity Regulation (ELR) through a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the CEO, the successful candidate will provide leadership and management in the Electricity Regulation (ELR) Division in terms of applicable legislation, NERSA policies and procedures, as well as NERSA’s approved business plan.
