The Chester Group is is a group of companies that specialise in wholesale meat manufacturing and distribution throughout South Africa.

Available internship opportunities

Chester Group has the following internship positions available within our respective divisions.

📌Graduate Internship Human Resources

Chester Butcheries: 1x Graduate Internship In Human Resources

The successful intern will join our HR team and will be given exposure to practical workplace experience generalist HR functions, including but not limited to: HR administration, recruitment, training, and industrial relations.

📌Graduate Internship Supply Chain Management

Chester Wholesale Meat: 1x Graduate Internship In Supply Chain Management

The successful Intern will join our Sales team where he/she will be given exposure to the sales environment, learning more about the supply chain within the meat Industry.

Chandling International: 2x Graduate Internship in Supply Chain

Our successful Interns will join our Sales team where he/she will be given exposure to the sales environment learning more about supply chain within the fast-paced ship chandling industry.

Qualifications

  • Completed N6 qualification obtained from a TVET institution in field that you are applying for i.e., Human Resources or Supply Chain
  • Must have less than 2 years of working experience post studies.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Skills and Competencies

  • Initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a pressurised and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Organised, and good attention to detail.
  • Trustworthy with an excellent work ethic.
  • Must reside within the Durban area.
  • Valid driver’s licence advantageous.
