About the Graduate Programme

This opportunity is for a Graduate in Training within our Engineering design department.

It is tailored such that the candidate periodically rotates amongst the various functional teams within the Mining & Construction department, as well as the Forestry & Agriculture department.

Within these departments, involvement will be amongst teams focused on various design areas – inclusive of Hydraulic & Suspension, Structural and Drivetrain.

The core function of these teams are to take ownership for the strategic design, technical analyses, production implementation and technical support of the vehicle sub-systems.

Team members carry the responsibility to ensure the BELL products globally remain at the cutting edge of technology and competitiveness.

As a graduate, the focus will be to gain exposure to the various responsibilities by participating in the development and support as part of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply Engineering Design Process to generate, evaluate and implement design concepts.
  • Generate 3D parametric models and 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings.
  • Complete projects within the agreed timelines and adhering to overall project schedules.

  • Undertake and manage laboratory and field testing of new concepts to evaluate the performance.
  • Take ownership and provide technical support and troubleshooting for areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • B.Eng, BSc or B.EngTech Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering degree. This opportunity is for candidates that have graduated in 2022/2023.
  • Proficient in 3D parametric modelling software, preferably CREO.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact successfully in a team environment.
  • Good technical analysis skills and the ability to perform technical calculations.
  • A self starter with passion and drive to make a difference.
