Training support will be provided to the Graduate through practical and theoretical based lessons by the Senior Engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities

What needs to be done?

  • Learning ways to Develop new business in Welding Engineering.
  • Learn and understand fabrication ergonomics.
  • Collation of market intelligence and agreement on appropriate Welding Engineering solutions to introduce to meet the market needs, including commitments on projected volume and pricing methods.
  • Understanding of regional distributor strategies including main distributors and sub distributors

  • Understating, how to develop and coordinate welding best practices, implement floor process optimization and control methods for customers.
  • Support customer installations and procedure setting.
  • Understanding industry most used Codes of manufacturing and legal implications.
  • Understanding how to offer technical support for distributors and key accounts.
  • Implementation of welding Engineering solutions.

  • Assist accounts department with timely collections.
  • Comply with ISO9001, OCHSA 18001 and ISO14001
  • Lead the safety effort and awareness within area of responsibility.
  • Routinely conduct safety observation and highlight any non-conformances.
  • Adhere to all SOX Compliance Controls with reverence to the narratives applicable to your area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Welding Engineering, or Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Metallurgy.
  • Experience within a welding environment
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Projects
