Requirements
- – Age: 18 – 35
- -Grade 12 qualification
- – Proficiency in Maths and Science (Grade 12 level preferred)
- – Previous experience in a tailings / mining environment (advantageous)
- – Medical fitness
- – Strong English communication skills
- – Hard-working and eager to learn
Key Performance Areas
- – Check communications (radios)
- – Operate essential equipment, including pumps, etc. – Reporting any irregularities, damages, or unsafe areas or behaviour in the workplace
- – Patrolling and cleaning of equipment
- – Complete assigned checklists
- – Carry out tasks and instructions from higher-line managers as requested – Practice good housekeeping around all work areas
- – Proper storage of equipment
- – Accurate reporting of personal timekeeping
- – Adhere to written Safe Work Procedures
- – Wear and care of the correct PPE for each specific task
- – Follow all safety procedures and site emergency procedures as per training and site-specific standards.
