Makhado Municipality funded by SALGA is offering graduate placement programme aimed at uplifting socio-economic status and preparing unemployed youth for employment by providing them with the opportunity to acquire work experience.
There are x26 posts open for applications by unemployed graduates.

Makhado Local Municipality is hereby inviting unemployed graduates to apply for the 2024 graduate’s placement program in the following field of study:
- Law x2
- Computer Science & Information System or Information Technology x4
- Geographical Information System x1
- Surveying x1
- Urban & Regional Planning x2
- BCom Accounting x2
- Safety Management x2
- Archives & Records Management x2
- Development Studies x1
- Library and information Management x5
- International relations x1
- Sports & Recreational Management x1
- Labour Relations x2
Applications are invited from graduates residing in Makhado Municipal area seeking internship opportunities.
Requirements/ Eligibility
- Diploma / Degree or Honours in the relevant fields listed above.
- South African citizens who are permanent residents of Makhado Municipality may apply.
- Applicants must be in possession of the qualifications in any of the fields stated above.
- Applicants should not have previous working experience or have participated in any internship programme.
- Applicants should not be older than 35 years.
The duration of placement for interns will be 12 months.
Please note that this placement programme is not a permanent offer of employment, but an opportunity to acquire relevant work experience or to be issued with their diploma.

Applicants must specify the discipline or area of specialisation they are applying for, accompanied by comprehensive curriculum vitae and certified copies of original qualifications, academic transcripts and a copy of SA ID document (Smart IDs to be copied on both sides).
Note: Appointment is subject to security clearance, verification of qualifications, and signing of an internship contract.

If no response is received from Makhado Municipality within 45 days after the closing date; it must be regarded that your application has been unsuccessful.
