Job Purpose
Mercedes-Benz South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Operations Administrator to join their Finance team.
This role takes finance operations to a whole new level, encouraging you to exceed business needs and work in a collaborative team who are just as passionate as you to provide exceptional experiences.
You’ll be required to have a thorough grasp of lease accounting procedures for both Mercedes-Benz South Africa contract management and financial accounting systems.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years’ working experience
- Experience within Financial Service Industry
- Degree/Diploma – Financial accounting or financial management
- Postgraduate Qualification advantageous

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Transaction Processing:
- Process insurance receipts and lead fee payments in the accounting system (SAP), ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Perform reconciliation of insurance lead fees and prepare the monthly insurance income statement to support financial reporting and decision-making processes.
Inventory Risk Calculation:
- Calculate the inventory risk share payable between Mercedes-Benz South Africa and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, utilising established methodologies and systems.
Journal Management:
- Administer the daily posting of journals into the accounting system (SAP), maintaining the integrity of financial data and records.
Sales Data Reporting:
- Report relevant sales data from Mercedes-Benz South Africa and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services regarding buyback lease contracts, ensuring accurate accounting and classification of all assets in the IBIS system.
Operational Performance Reporting:
- Administer the collation and reporting of Operational Performance indicators for monthly reporting, providing valuable insights into business performance.
Financial Analysis:
- Calculate and analyse Net credit losses, Fee income, and other expenses for monthly reporting, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Pricing Validation:
- Perform pricing checks and validations to ensure accuracy and completeness in our financial product pricing, mitigating potential risks and maximizing profitability.
Vendor Management:
- Create new vendor records or update existing vendors in the accounting system, ensuring accurate mapping between relevant business systems and maintaining vendor data integrity.
