Department of Transport recruitment for May 2024: Construction Contracting Learnership Programme

Is a career in the construction industry a “thing” for you? The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport invites applications for Construction Contracting Learnership Programme 2024.

The KZN Department of Transport invites applications from People with Disabilities to apply for the CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTING LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME.

The programme’s objective is to develop People with Disabilities through Skills Development.

Requirements for applicants

  • Applicant must be currently unemployed.
  • Applicant must have minimum of grade 10 educational qualification or NQF Level 2.
  • Applicant must submit their latest educational qualification.
  • Must be able to read and write independently.
  • Valid South African ID book.
  • Attach proof of banking details
  • Completed EPWP employment application form.
  • Proof of residence from the Councilor/ Traditional Authority
  • Attach proof of disability (letter from medical practitioner).
  • Applicants residing outside of 5km radius must be able and willing to travel to and from training venue without any assistance from the employer
  • Participants must reside within the targeted Local Municipality.
  • Type of Disability to be considered: Wheelchair Users, Persons using Crutches, Short Stature, Albinism, Dyslexic

Participants who had previously participated in the same type of Learnership programme will not be eligible for selection.

How to Apply

Submit EPWP Learnership application form at your nearest Department of Transport District / Area Office.

It is mandatory that all applicants complete the EPWP Learnership application form.

All selected participants will sign a 12 months learnership contract, code of conduct and declaration form on the day they will assume duties.
