Mahlako SAICA Training Programme 2024-2025

Mahlako are looking for candidates to join as trainees in the 3-Year Training Programme accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

Closing Date: 01 June 2024

This position will be based in Johannesburg but might involve some short-term travel from time to time.

This position fills an integral role that involves working closely with the advisory and asset management teams to execute a wide variety of challenging and exciting engagements related to the planning, development, delivery and operations of major economic and social infrastructure projects.

About the Trainee Programme

The Trainees will receive:

Dedicated training in all SAICA specified competencies,with specificfocus on Accounting and External Reporting, Management Decision-Making & Control and Financial Management; and

Hands-on experience through rotations in the advisory, assetmanagement and finance divisions.

Requirements

Mahlako are looking for a team member who

  • Is a South African citizen
  • Is seeking a dynamic role requiring a mix of technical and soft skills;
  • Is an analytical and logical thinker with a strong attention to detail; and
  • Is a strong team player with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines in support of the client’s goals.

Qualifications

  • Be in possession of an undergraduate and postgraduate degree necessary to obtain the Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) (B.Comm, B.BSci, B.AccSci, H.DipAcc, PGDipAcc or other related degree).
