The Food Beverage and Manufacturing SETA (FoodBev SETA) is calling upon all Graduates between the ages of 18 – 35 years who are currently unemployed with no experience, to participate in our 12 months Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme in Research.

About the FoodBev SETA

Food & Beverages Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority’s (FoodBev Manufacturing SETA) was formed to promote, facilitate and incentive skills development in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing Sector.

FoodBev SETA is one of 21 Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) across the economy mandated to put the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) into practice.

Learnership Purpose

The objective of the YES programme is to provide unemployed youth with job opportunities that will give them workplace experience.

Duties

  • Conducting face-to-face and telephonic interviews, and online research for information requested by Research Manager and Researchers
  • Capturing and cleaning of data using MS Excel
  • Data collection, analysis and report writing
  • Conducting literature reviews relevant to the sector
  • Administrative duties as requested by the Research Manager and Researchers
  • Execute ad hoc tasks as requested by the Research Manager and Researchers.

Qualifying Criteria

  • Honours or Master’s degree in social sciences or any other relevant post-graduate qualification
  • 18 – 35 years 
  • Currently unemployed
