Switchboard Operator

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 • 2 years relevant experience • Computer literacy.

Other Requirements: Ability to read, write and speak 2 of official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans and Xhosa) • Ability to function under stressful and demanding circumstances • Attention to detail • Conflict resolution skills.

Senior SCM Official

Minimum Requirements: A relevant 3-year Tertiary qualification, preferably in SCM / Logistics / Procurement • 5 – 8 years relevant experience in SCM including 2-years of supervisory experience.

MMCL unit standards required in terms of the Regulations as prescribed in the MFMA (MMCL – Minimum Competency) or if the applicant Is not in possession must acquire the unit standards within 18 months from appointment • Computer literacy • Valid code B driver’s License.

Senior Inspector: Law Enforcement (2x)

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 • Relevant Law Enforcement/ Peace officers’ qualification • 5 -8 years’ relevant experience required of which 2 – 3-years’ supervisory experience • A valid code B driver’s license

No criminal record – Appointments subject to police clearance.

Other Requirements: Must be able to work in a team as well as the ability to function independently • Must have excellent supervising skills and be able to maintain discipline within the workplace • Sound interpersonal skills

Senior Clerk: Performance Management

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 with accounting • Computer literate, including spreadsheets (MS

Receptionist: Housing Administration

The successful candidates will report to the Manager: Housing Administration.

Minimum requirements: Grade 12 ● 2 years’ relevant experience ● Computer literacy: MS Word.

Other Requirements: Knowledge of operating a telephone system ● Customer services skills ● Well developed interpersonal skills ● Report-writing and oral communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa)

Ability to work independently and in teams ● Ability to function effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and work accurately ● Be willing to work after hours and weekends on request.

Electrical Attendants (x9)

The successful incumbent will perform duties within the entire Stellenbosch Municipal Boundary (WCO24).

Minimum requirements: Grade 10 ● 1-Year relevant experience.
Other Requirements: Adhere to safety regulations in terms of the OHS Act 85 of 1993 ● Ability to identify electrical equipment used by Electrician ● Basic knowledge of First Aid ● Certificate for Hydraulic crane

Chipper Operator: Environmental Management

The successful incumbent will report to the Assistant Superintendent Environmental Implementation and must be in possession of:

Minimum Requirements: Grade 10 ● A valid Chipper Operator certificate/ brush cutter/ chainsaw operator/ pole pruner ● A minimum of 1-year experience in operating mechanical equipment such as Chipper, chainsaw opera-tor, brush cutting, pole pruner.

Other Requirements: Must also be able to operate hand tools ● Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Proficiency in at least two of the three Western Cape official Languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa) ● Must be able to work in a team ● Must be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects.

Artisan Foreman: Water and Wastewater

The successful incumbent will report to the Superintendent: Sewer Operations.

Minimum requirements: Grade 10 ● Trade Test in Plumbing ● 5-years Relevant technical experience of which 3 years in a relevant supervisory capacity ● Valid Code C1 driver’s license with a valid PrDP.

Other Requirements: Supervisory skill ● Communication skill ●Customer Service skill ●Interpersonal skills ●Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail Proficiency (speak and write) in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans or Xhosa)
