South African Airways Technical (SAAT), has over the last 80 years, provided Aircraft Maintenance services to a vast number of commercial airlines in the domestic, regional and international markets.
JOB PURPOSE
To perform a combination of tasks concerned with aircraft material internal movements from stores to maintenance areas and from point of removal to the workshops/shipping.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Aircraft Material Movement and Accounting
- Execute the transportation and movement of required parts for operations from the stores to
maintenance areas and from maintenance areas to workshops or shipping section. - Verify documentation versus material collected and accurately record material moved.
- Record all transfers of custody of material transported internally i.e. all material must be
signed for at point of collection and at point of delivery. - Timeous collection and dispatch of stock items to all customers.
- Update AMOS system timeously to reflect material movement (location change).
Relationship Management
- Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders as and when required in a timely way
Self-Management
- Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Matric
- Certificate in Supply Chain Management / Logistics would be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years experience handling of aviation spare parts
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of AMOS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of warehouse systems
- Analytical and numerical skills
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
