About the Graduate Programme

As an Industrial Engineering graduate in the Premier FMCG confectionery environment, you will be gaining practical exposure to manufacturing practices.

During this time, you will work in the Continuous Improvement Department, providing support to Production and Operational Developments, while at the same time, picking up soft skills such as facilitation, time management and teamwork.

You will be exposed to real work, taking place in our production environments, as well as business projects and other business initiatives.

You will be provided with relevant training and mentoring, providing both formal and informal guidance.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering
  • There is no experience requirement for this role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Be familiar with MS Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Have fundamental skills in BOM, Recipe management, SOP and Work instruction.
  • Proactive communication skills
  • Strong numerical ability
  • Strong teamwork ability
  • Taking accountability for tasks

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a 12 months graduate program, where the graduate will be exposed to practical work experience. As the graduate you will be required to:

  • Accurately keep record of your workplace exposure and experience in your logbook, to ensure compliance with Seta.
  • Be willing to learn on how to translate your theoretical learning into practice.
  • Perform all tasks communicated and required.
  • Be eager to gain valuable in-service work experience, skills and knowledge that will assist you in furthering your career.
