Artisan Fitter

REMUNERATION: R329 376 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE : To be responsible for the repair, maintenance, availability and efficiency of all facilities and Mechanical plant and equipment located at reservoirs, towers, and water pump stations in accordance with OHASA and SANS codes of practice.

Essential qualifications and experience: 

  • Grade 10 or N1 (NQF 2) + Fitter trade test certificate/Appropriate Learnership NQF 4
  • 3 years’ experience on pumps, valves, hydraulic level controls, PRV’S.
  • Basic supervisory experience
  • Code EB Drivers’ Licence

Accounts Payable Officer

REMUNERATION: 291 024 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE: To provide an effective and efficient payables environment to all JW stakeholders in alignment with legislative requirements by actively engaging all stakeholders within the procedure to pay value chain in order for them to execute upon their predefined roles therein.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12 (NQF4) and Basic Bookkeeping Diploma / Certificate (NQF 5/6)
  • 3 years’ creditors’ reconciliation experience in a Financial Administration environment.

Assistant Accountant

REMUNERATION: R235 464 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE: To provide administrative support and effective, accurate and timeous financial/accounting service through facilitation of financial components as designated. 

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12, studying towards a Diploma or Degree in Accounting
  • 1 year relevant experience

Customer Service Representative X3

REMUNERATION: R291 024 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE : To ensure that all administrative duties pertaining to service accounts are timely, correctly and efficiently dealt with.

Essential qualifications and experience: 

  • Grade 12 (NQF 4)
  • 3 years relevant experience in Customer Management environment in the following fields: Account Management, Billing and Revenue environment, Customer Liaison and Credit control, Refunds and Meter Reading Maintenance, Data updates and Service adjustments
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office)

Workflow Coordinator

REMUNERATION:  R375 552 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE: To attend to and oversee all activities of the Meter Reading Radex HandHeld System and MRQC work orders for Meter Reading Department.

Upload and download files and file transfer protocols. Customizing reports and highlight exceptions and discrepancies with regards to inaccuracy in meter reading.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12
  • 3 years’ experience in meter reading, planning and management of meter reading and compiling management information.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in IT dealing with system configuration and troubleshooting, meter reading maintenance and data management.
  • Code 8 Driver’s Licence

Civil Engineer Technologist

REMUNERATION: R1 020 324 TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PER ANNUM

 PURPOSE: Responsible for carrying out all civil engineering activities from investigation, designs, procurement, contract administration, commissioning up to close out of the projects.

Quality control, contract administration, monitors and supervises resident engineers for construction activities on site.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering/ Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree / Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering,
  • 5 years’ experience in design of water and sanitation reticulation projects including 1 year of staff supervision.
  • Computer literacy in use of design packages such Techno CAD/AutoCAD/Civil Designer/Civil 3D and
  • Valid Code B driver’s license + Own transport

Assistant Project Manager X2

REMUNERATION: R500 076 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE: Ensure that all capital work is executed according to Johannesburg Water standards and specifications by inspecting and witnessing testing of newly installed infrastructure, attending site meetings on behalf of the Division and ensuring that all Health and Safety regulations and environmental requirements are adhered to.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • National Diploma Civil Engineering (NQF 6)
  • 3 years working experience in Water and Sewage/Sanitation projects.
  • Valid Drivers’ Licence Code B

Senior Technician

REMUNERATION: R500 076 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM 

PURPOSE: Responsible for the reduction of unaccounted for water with emphasis on commercial loss. Investigate and analyse meters and meter data (on-site and management information services (MIS) studies).

Identify meters to be changed as per the Johannesburg Water metering policy and control the commercial loss side of the projects. Monitor the top 100 consumers.

Essential qualifications and experience: 

  • Grade 12 (NQF 4)
  • 5 years working experience in a metering/ plumbing environment of which at least 2 years in Project management, including field data audits and at least 1 year data management/ auditing experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in using GIS.
  • Supervisory skills / accredited supervisory training and Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
  • Driver’s licence (Code B)
