Sasol and the The National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF) are inviting applications for the NRF-SASOL Young Academics Accelerator Programme 2025.

About the NRF-SASOL Young Academics Accelerator Programme

Applicants must submit their applications before or on this date. Applicants will not be able to create or submit applications after this cut-off date.

Please note that institutions may wish to set their own internal cut-off dates for submission of applications to their Researchers/Students, to ensure applications are not submitted late.

The NRF-SASOL Young Academics Accelerator Programme is open to young academics who are employed (full-time or fixed-term) at a South African public university, with a focus on Energy Transition.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted electronically on the NRF Connect system at https://nrfconnect.nrf.ac.za unless otherwise indicated.

It is important to read the relevant documents before deciding on which funding opportunity to apply to. All eligibility criteria, as well as the applicable requirements, must be taken into

Instructions to Applicants

  • Go to https://nrfconnect.nrf.ac.za
  • Register with your ORCiD credentials. Should you not have any, please register on ORCiD to gain access.
  • Should the user be an existing user on the NRF Online Submission System, there is functionality to migrate the CV from the previous system.
