About SANParks

South African National Parks (SANParks) oversees the conservation efforts in 20 national parks, managing a total of 3,751,113 hectares of protected land.

The land SANParks managesa accounts for over 3% of the total area of South Africa. Many parks offer a variety of accommodations to both tourists and SANParks employees.

About SANParks Internship Opportunities

Are you an unemployed Graduate who obtained a Bachelor’s degree/National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) from a Public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in South Africa?

Arde you seeking for a great workplace to intern at as you venture on how to build a solid career with an organization that can grow you as a person and a professional?

If yes, you are encouraged to apply for a one-year placement at SANParks. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R6,030.00.

It should be noted that SANParks is not obligated to offer permanent employment to the Intern upon completion of the program.

Internship study fields

The SANParks Communications department seeks to recruit interns from the following study fields

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, communications, marketing, or related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other online design programs. Basic understanding of video editing and motion graphics.

Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You should be an unemployed graduate between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You should have successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF 6/NQF 7) in the specified discipline/fields of study from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI).
  • You must not have any prior employment experience or have participated in any internship/placement program.
