Assistant Timekeeper

  • Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
  • Closing date: 14 June 2024

JOB PURPOSE

  • Administration duties assisting the Engineering department.
  • Assist Timekeepers with weekly paid staff using the Trac-Tech/UNIS system.
  • Ad hoc admin duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the weekly hours that are prepared for wages including communication where needed.
  • Assist that weekly hours for Viking paid staff are checked with supervisors and submitted timeously.
  • Process, administer and compile leave forms for all weekly paid staff
  • Assist in the process of Leave/Sick Batched for wage office.
  • Balance Clocking’s and Manual Timekeeping 
  • Monthly Time Register monitoring
  • Assist in capture working hours correctly when needed.
  • Assist in workshop labour processes (including but not limited in checking clocked hours against what was booked on timesheets)
  • Assist in all ad hoc duties pertaining to labour recoveries.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Grade 12
  • Certificate/Diploma in administration
  • High level of computer literacy (Excel) is preferred.
  • Work experience in an industry-related field recommended.
  • Experience in Trac-Tech/UNIS system
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent administration and communication skills 

Cleaner (must be male)

  • Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
  • Closing date: 03 June 2024

JOB PURPOSE

  • Daily cleaning of the administration office floors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily sweeping, mopping, cleaning all bins and male toilets on all admin floors.
  • Check male toilets on a regular basis and clean, refill essentials, etc.
  • Clean entry and exit staircases on a daily basis.
  • Clean and remove marks from floor and wall tiles using the appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
  • Clean windows on the inside at least once a week on a rotational basis.
  • Store all cleaning equipment and products neatly in the designated cupboards.
  • Operate, clean and maintain cleaning equipment as instructed.
  • Observe and comply with the Health and Safety Policy and Code of Practice.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Grade 11 required, matric advantageous
  • Must have at least 6 month’s cleaning experience
  • Must be able to read, write and follow instructions (in English)
  • Ability to clean efficiently and effectively
  • Have a good understanding of proper hygiene & good housekeeping
  • Must be flexible and provide good teamwork and assist other colleagues, whenever necessary
  • Highly reliable, hardworking
  • Must be medically fit and able to preform all the duties stated above.
  • Sober habits, punctuality
  • No criminal record
